Ok so you keep dying at this game and want to impress your friends with your skill at it you have come to the right place!!
First
Run around and get a good gun. If your good (1st lvl of Zombies) grab the shot gun...if ur not the aiming for the 2 birds 1 stone trade then use the automatic gun at the top of the stairs. run around rebuilding and getting points and unlock doors and the box. and try to keep on getting good guns.

Find a mystery box (try not to get the Teddy at first try)

This is almost a no brainer make sure you have other people playing this with you it makes a world of difference.
Dont huddle together
While it is a great idea to stay in the same room, huddling together in a bunch is the worst idea possible practically every death occurs due to your escape path being blocked by zombies so stay in seperate areas of the room so if you get blocked everyone else still has a chance to escape and possibly save you.
Communication
This means to inform your team mates if you are opening a door, your assigned barrier is broken and you are overwhelmed, you found a max ammo refill and need to tell them to reload so they get the maximum amount of ammo possible, informing them of the location of guns and speed colas and the list goes on just make sure they hear and understand, this is crucial.
Planning
This should also be a no brainer plan ahead by scoping out the map a few times with maybe one other person, know where the rooms and guns are, know when the dogs spawn etc.
Another good planning technique is after your partner/s have died and you are down to the last zombie shoot him one shot at a time in the legs until he is reduced to crawling this then allows you to sprint around the map to a nice camping spot with readily available guns, speed colas and whatever else your heart desires wait till the crawler catchs up with you and kill it your friends will respawn and you dont have to frantically search for something better then a pistol before you get your heads torn off.
Conserve ammo
Try to conserve ammo when possible aim for the head or at the beginning when the zombies are weak knife them instead of wasting ammo.
Strategically buy weapons
This almost falls under the category of planning but I decided it needed its own section. Buy guns according to their usefulness I try to keep to buying shotguns and SMGs I dont waste my points on an m14 or claymores when i know a shotgun will do better also dont just buy any weapon you see while there are a few that are better then others on average the guns within their gun types are basically the same and its just a waste of points.
Dont be a hero
While rambo did look totally badass, you probably wont sitting in final stand in a large group of zombies where your team mates cant get to you. Stick with your team mates and play smart.
Share points and kills
So this is pretty much self explanatory dont be a bitch and steal everyones kills we all need points for guns and hogging the points just makes it so your team loses faster. Along with this take turns opening doors it makes it so one person isnt blowing all their points on doors and is stuck with a dinky pistol 11 rounds into the game.
Have fun and relax
While we all love to compete and win this isnt real life dont go cuss out someone just because they got killed by zombies they cant help it and anger only makes it harder for you to play the game after a few rounds I advise getting up and taking a short walk I find this helps me, focusing too much on this game just makes it harder and makes you angrier.
Give them a chance to tear down some barriers at the start
In levels 1-5 the zombies are not very powerful so you can afford to let them tear down barriers before you kill them this lets you get more points from rebuilding barriers and more points make your life so much easier.
Use powerups wisely
Dont just pick up the powerups instantly understand what they do and whether its worth activating it now or once the next wave comes.
