For those of you who want to complete it on the hardest leval!!
Don't run into a fight, but don't fight when you can run.
Tossing a grenade will often make the enemies dive for cover; that can give you more time to run.
You can:
-Run through most of Winter Contingency. Everything after the first handful of grunts and jackals until you find the lost marines.
And Nightfall (even if you can't pull of the glitch, there's no reason to fight until you get to the pylon.)
-Run around the hunters in New Alexandria (or use the rave easter egg.)
-Run past the first part of Pillar of Autumn (around to the left; Emile will create a distraction on the right) and jump through the window (after breaking it) to avoid fighting the hunters.
-----------
Other hints:
Needle weapons are the death of unshielded brutes. (Good to know in Exodus; vital in Pillar of Autumn.)
The AI always falls for hologram. ALWAYS. (Helpful for the last bit of Nightfall if you can't do the glitch, and the "Holdout" bit of Pillar of Autumn; save the sniper for the elites in the next bit.)
Never underestimate the power of a marine with a rocket launcher (or fuel rod cannon) on the back of your mongoose; unlimited auto-aimed explosives, that go for cover when you want them to, FTW! (Makes the "Beachfront" bit of Exodus much easier.)
I thought the final third of Long Night of Solace (once you're out of your space fighter) was the hardest part of the game. That's certainly where I died the most
